Had lunch at the Garrison yesterday and wow the pie, mash and veg were fantastic quality and great value for money. Pie was full of meat really tasty and the whole meal was piping hot. On the negative side the service was slower than we would have liked but the food won us over. Would highly recommend a lunch here.

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here on Sunday. The food was all perfectly cooked, and unlike most the vegetables were fresh. Possibly the best roast potatoes ever. The chocolate brownie was sublime. Definitely worth a visit.

Popped in for pie n mash today with my family and was NOT disappointed. The food was REALLY good and the service was just as good! Friendly and courteous and no dramas with all the covid restrictions/procedures. This is the 3rd time I've visited but 1st time for a meal and, like I said, I wasn't disappointed. Very hospitable. Would recommend a visit to anyone! Thanks to all staff on shift today for making us welcome :)

Wow my favourite place in Chelmsford! Absolutely incredible service from James - he is the the best, most friendly bartender I have ever experienced. He is so knowledgeable and attentive he is a massive slay. Can’t wait to come back for bingo!

Went in there on Saturday for a few beers as i had noticed how busy it was the previous weekend. My experience was good. Was asked to take a seat and would get table service. Our waitress (from Manchester didnt catch her name) was great, efficient, polite and utterly lovely. Evening was nice. Toilets are grim but arent they all. Big thumbs up to the waitress and staff. Will be back for sure.

My favourite spot in Chelmsford. Staff are always friendly and inviting. Always a great atmosphere. Drinks are very reasonably priced with all sorts or specials on throughout the week and through the nights/weekends. Highly recommend!

Lovely bar and it is my favorite. I started coming here in January this year and I have had so many happy times meeting new people and it is so busy especially on a saturday which makes it lively.

I had the most perfect time out last night at garrison. As a Caribbean, I really struggle to find places to hear music I know and enjoy but last night in the upper floor. I heard them play soca and music from my island. I couldn’t believe it and that the dj knew them songs I was overjoyed. Best night since coming to uk. So so happy. Definitely will be back again and hopefully they continue to play it. Even if it’s for a short while. Dj has my thanks and respect.

Hired the upstairs ballroom for our engagement party and it was perfect! We were allowed to set up around 4 hours before the party started, and when we got there the ballroom and lobby were both already set up with chairs and tables in the way we requested. We got the whole upstairs to ourselves. The bar was stocked and staffed all night, didn’t catch the bar man’s name but he was great. You can bring your own food at no extra cost and can either hire a dj or plug your phone into one of their speakers which had amazing sound quality. We were showed around the ballroom before we booked it, and the communication via email was easy with super quick replies. They also stopped us cleaning up at the end and said they would do it all themselves which saved us a lot of time and effort. Thanks to Kara for all the help too when we were setting up! All our guests complimented this venue and said how nice it looked, would definitely recommend it, it’s the best option in Chelmsford for a party venue!
